pinnacle presents cheque following Charity Golf day

The Pinnacle Document Solutions Group, a Managed Print and Software Solutions organisation based in Cardiff, presents a cheque for £4,623 to Ysgol Ty Coch, at the schools 2019 Leavers Assembly.

Pinnacle hosted their annual Golf tournament at The Vale Resort in June, welcoming customers, partners and generous supporters to raise awareness and essential funds for Ysgol Ty Coch, a 3-19 maintained special school in Tonteg, Pontypridd.

David Jenkins, Head Teacher of Ysgol Ty Coch explains, “Ysgol Ty Coch is a wonderful organisation which provides outstanding education for 168 learners, all of whom have additional learning needs. It’s a school full of aspiration where staff do not see barriers but focus on opportunity. We constantly strive to think outside the box, try new approaches and challenge expectation. We try to use technology to improve access and celebrate ability.”

David continues, “Unfortunately, this approach can be expensive! We are completely overwhelmed by the support we have received from Pinnacle and all other companies/people who supported the annual golf day. The £4623 will be put to exceptional use. We are currently trying to install a new sensory/immersion room. The room has interactive walls and floors, sensory lighting and smells, state of the art audio and visual equipment all of which can be controlled by pupils regardless of their physical difficulties. The cost is approximately £20,000 and thanks to everyone who played golf recently, we are nearly halfway there.”

Clive Hamilton, CEO of the Pinnacle Group comments, “As a continued commitment to our community responsibilities, we strive to regularly involve ourselves with an array of charities, something that we have tried to maintain throughout the years which has presented us with a whole host of challenges and events.”

Clive explains, “Ysgol Ty Coch, is a fantastic facility and one that struck a chord on both a personal and business level. From the first visit, we knew that we wanted to support the wonderful children and staff to provide undisputable care and essential resources that makes Ysgol Ty Coch such an inspirational and heart-warming school. After the success of our first Golf day in 2018, we made the decision to commit to the tournament on an annual basis, in a bid to further back the wonderful work of Dave and his team.”

To finish, Clive comments, “The support we received for this year’s event was phenomenal! From players to sponsors and on the day assistance from Ysgol Ty Coch and The Vale Resort, without the continued support and enthusiasm for our charity events, we would not be able to facilitate such a fantastic fundraising event and we look forward to a bigger and better golf day next year!”

David ends, “On behalf of everyone associated with our school…thank you all. I hope you can join us next year and rope in even more teams to play distinctly average golf in aid of a great cause!”

The Pinnacle Group were delighted to support Ysgol Ty Coch once again at their annual charity Golf day. Pinnacle were truly overwhelmed by the amount of support they received from players and sponsors and are already in the planning stages for next years event which will be held on 18th June 2020.
